Disney's Kizazi Moto short films, "Surf Sangoma”

Co-directing this film alongside Catherine Green and Nthato Mokgata was an incredible opportunity to explore African mythology and the complex issues faced by the continent. The story delved into a world rich with culture, spirituality (including the Sangoma tradition), and themes like gang pressure and climate change, creating a narrative that was both profound and impactful.

We had the chance to be hands-on across many departments, and a lesser-known fact is that we also served as Head of Layout and Animation Director. This allowed us to contribute deeply to the film’s creative vision. The experience was immensely rewarding, and it’s a true testament to the dedication and talent of the teams involved.
